Tone Tree Audio, LLC worked with Rumor Has It, a Kearney, Nebraska-based folk rock band, in winter of 2019. Rumor Has It consists of Kyle Sayler, vocalist and guitarist, and Hannah Nicolen, vocals. The songwriting duo infuses alternative rock with elements of folk and country for a retro but fresh sound.
Sayler and Nicolen tracked 3 songs for their self-titled debut EP. Tone Tree Audio recorded, mixed and mastered the tracks, and also produced bass and drums. Kearney session musician Jacob French provided banjo and electric guitar for the tracks.

Kyle said this of the recording process: “[Tone Tree Audio] was so easy to work with. This was my first time recording. Great environment and advice. So excited to write more and book again with Tone Tree!”
