Wild Roses band releases retro-tinged 'Medicine' single

There’s nothing like a good medicine to help you feel better. We all experience sicknesses, rough patches in life, or lost loves from time to time, and finding your ‘medicine’ is how you start the healing process.

Wild Roses, a hard rock band based in Kearney, Nebraska, has concocted a potent dose of music to see us through any trials and tribulations we may be facing as they release their single ‘Medicine’ Mar. 4, 2022 on most major streaming platforms. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered by Tone Tree Audio, LLC in winter 2022, and it features a blend of genres and sound that is familiar, nostalgic, but unique at the same time.

The four-piece outfit consists of Cassie Brown, vocals and rhythm guitar, Steven Koehn, drums, Seth Sloan, lead guitar, and Ryan Swenson, bass. To help describe the band’s sound, a listener can reference the 70’s and 80’s rock and metal classics. However, there is also a progressive edge to the performances and songwriting that gives the Wild Roses’ music a bridge to cross over into multiple genres (and generations) of music.

During the recording of ‘Medicine’, catchy guitar riffs melded with pulsing rhythms and powerful, pitch-perfect vocals to create a modern, yet retro-tinged rock sound. The band members also overdubbed group vocals to create a ‘crowd’ sound to punctuate the choruses.

Brown said this of the recording process, “It was awesome to have the chance to record with a professional. We’re so happy with the way it turned out, and we’re excited to share it with the world.”
