Summer recording projects blend faith, folk music

Tone Tree Audio, LLC continues to record and work with phenomenal talent in central Nebraska each month, and summer 2016 was no exception.

Gypsy Brokuzunk, who worked with Tone Tree Audio previously on a project for Gayla Kovarik and his own solo creation 'Shoes', recorded two new original songs in early July. Brokuzunk, an artist playing a fantastic blend of folk and old-school country, broke out his acoustic guitar, mandolin and even a recorder and masterfully tracked his parts. His creations include themes of faith and hope. An additional recording day in the fall will knock out the remainder of these songs and introduce a new song into the mix, in an especially unique tuning.

In late July Tone Tree Audio had a reunion with another previous client, Hope Dunbar, who has worked with Tone Tree Audio on two previous albums. Hope and her sister, Emily Dunbar, are creating an incredible body of work for religious-based applications recorded at A Noteworthy Studio in downtown Kearney, Nebraska. These beautiful, sweeping songs include folk-inspired sounds with a nod to retro rock. Two more tracking sessions are planned to incorporate bass, percussion, harmony vocals and more unique instrumentation.
